Welcome to Iechyd Teifi Health, our luxury Private Clinic is located in the Teifi Valley in the heart of Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire.
Inside you will receive a warm welcome from our friendly team who will be available to assist you throughout your visit. We make full provision to assist with any disability, but please inform us upon booking if you have any special requirements.
Our aim at Teifi Health is to provide a friendly and reassuring experience with your health and well-being our priority at all times. You will find a spacious car park located at the rear of the clinic overlooking the river Teifi.
Our Team
Our GP led team at Iechyd Teifi Health provide a wealth of experience and knowledge in delivering high quality care. All staff have previously worked in the local NHS primary care sector. We are all dedicated to ensure that the highest level of care is provided in a way that is convenient, confidential and caring. We pride ourselves that all members of our team are bilingual.
GP
Dr Howells graduated from University of Wales, College of Medicine Cardiff in 2001. She gained post graduate experience in General Medicine, Paediatrics, A&E and Gynaecology.
She completed her GP training in 2005 and spent 18 years as a GP in Llandysul, Ceredigion. She has a particular interest in Diabetes and health promotion and is committed to delivering high quality and holistic care to her patients. Dr Howells is a fluent Welsh speaker and can carry out patient appointments in English or Welsh.

A convenient and effective booking system will ensure that all enquiries will be dealt with swiftly and efficiently. We offer a range of appointment options to meet your needs , which include face to face and remote (via video or telephone).
Our appointments have been carefully designed to allow adequate time to address your clinical needs.

Iechyd Teifi Health aims to provide high quality private primary care medical services based on evidenced based research and recognised clinical guidelines.
We will always adopt a holistic approach to the assessment and management of medical problems and aim to build respectful relationships with our clients, whereby their concerns and expectations are at the heart of our comprehensive health assessments.
We aim to complement existing primary care services offered by NHS GP practices, by widening choice and access to a range services. All clients will be advised to maintain their registration with their existing GP practice, as we will not be offering emergency out of hours care.
